KUROWI ART 4 KIDS
KUROWI means "children" in the Rarámuri dialect, which is a tribal language from the North of Mexico.
Welcome to a 4 session art adventure for kids between 4yrs-10yrs young, to explore the world of painting, starting Saturday March 16th, 2024.
We invite you to invest in your child's creative potential through an artistic experience where children will have the opportunity to experience the creative process of an artist- from the exploration of different materials- to the assembly of a professional art showcase. During these sessions, each child will work on the creation of individual pieces to express their inner universe and a large format piece that they will make in group to express the COLLECTIVE UNIVERSE.
During 4 sessions of approximately 2.5 hours each, children will experience different materials in the creation of 4 WORKS ON COTTON PAPER OF 37X47 CM and 1 WORK ON CANVAS OF 80X100 CM.
TWO OF THE WORKS WILL BE MADE IN COTTON PAPER AND THE CANVAS WILL BE TAKEN HOME AND WILL BE PART OF THE 1ST EXHIBITION OF THE KUROWI COLLECTION. The pieces will be open for sale if the child choose to sell their piece, and we would love to make an agreement that the proceeds of that sale would go toward the child’s continuing artistic development. These proceeds will of course be managed by their parents.
Along with their individual works, in each session there will be a moment for them to work together on a collective piece.
The collective piece and two of the works made in cotton paper selected by them, will be donated to the Kurowi Collection.
THE EXHIBITION WILL BE HELD BETWEEN JULY AND AUGUST 2024 IN A SPECIAL VENUE IN SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE.

This is "UNIVERSOS" the 1st piece of the K U R O W I Collection which means "children" in the Rarámuri dialect, is a collection of paintings made by children in collaboration as part of a program of art experimental sessions at our headquarters.

This fabulous piece was made by 11 kids from an alternative school in the age of 4 to 9. The children included;

The goal of NAVE TAO through the KÚROWI COLLECTION is to sow in children the seed of Art as a playful experience, as well to empower their creativity by providing them with material and creating a space for them to explore and develop their creativity as an individual and in a group.
